Kiara’s POV
The entire day passed in a blur, but the feeling of Aryan’s hand gripping my wrist lingered like a phantom touch, suffocating and inescapable.
I kept my head down in class, pretending to be focused on my notebook while my mind raced.
Why was this happening to me?
Why me?
I clenched my jaw as the memories from my first day at college resurfaced—the moment that started it all.
(Flashback – First Day of College)
The campus was buzzing with excitement, students chatting and greeting each other. Riya and I had just stepped into the main hallway when she accidentally bumped into someone.
The girl let out a loud, dramatic gasp, staggering back as if she had been pushed off a cliff.
“Oh my god! Are you blind?” Her shrill voice echoed through the hallway.
I recognized her immediately. Natasha Singhania. Aryan’s side girl.
“I-I’m so sorry,” Riya stammered, stepping back in fear.
Natasha scoffed, flipping her long, glossy hair over her shoulder. “Sorry? Do you even know who I am? People like you should watch where they’re going.”
I felt Riya tense beside me, and something in me snapped.
“She said she’s sorry,” I said, my voice firm but calm. “It was an accident.”
Natasha turned to me slowly, her eyes narrowing as if she had just noticed my existence. “And who the hell are you?”
I swallowed but stood my ground. “Kiara.”
She let out a fake laugh and looked at her minions, who smirked alongside her. “Kiara?” she repeated mockingly. “And what? You’re some sort of hero now?”
I exhaled sharply. “That’s not what I meant.”
But it was too late.
Natasha took a step closer, her voice dripping with venom. “You’re new here, aren’t you?”
I hesitated before nodding.
She smirked. “Well then, let me teach you something. There’s a hierarchy here. The Untouchables are at the top, and nobodies like you? You don’t get to talk back.”
Riya pulled on my arm, silently pleading for me to drop it, but Natasha wasn’t done.
She let out an exaggerated sigh. “Honestly, it’s so annoying when low-class people don’t know their place. Maybe Aryan should teach you a lesson.”
The moment she said his name, a familiar presence loomed behind me.
A cold shiver ran down my spine as I turned—only to meet the piercing, unreadable grey eyes of Aryan Singh Rathore.
His gaze flickered from Natasha to me, then back to Natasha. “What happened?”
Natasha’s eyes gleamed with fake tears. “She pushed me, Aryan.”
My breath hitched. What?!
Riya gasped beside me. “That’s not true!”
Natasha pouted. “She was rude to me, too.”
I stared at her in disbelief. “You’re lying!”
But Aryan wasn’t even looking at me anymore. His jaw ticked slightly, as if he was already bored of this situation. He turned to Natasha, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear in a way that made my stomach twist.
“You okay?” His voice was casual, as if none of this really mattered to him.
Natasha leaned into his touch dramatically. “I am now.”
I clenched my fists. This was ridiculous. Couldn’t he see she was pretending?
When Aryan’s gaze finally landed on me, a lazy smirk played on his lips.
“You must be new.”
I swallowed the lump in my throat and lifted my chin. “I didn’t push her.”
His smirk didn’t waver. “Doesn’t matter.”
My heart pounded. “What?”
He stepped closer, the air between us turning suffocating. “It’s not about what you did. It’s about what I decide.”
And just like that, the verdict was sealed.
From that moment on, I became Aryan Singh Rathore’s new favorite target.
(End of Flashback)
Present
I gritted my teeth as reality came rushing back.
It was so unfair. He didn’t even care if I was guilty or not. He just enjoyed having someone to torment.
And now, I was stuck in his twisted game.
Riya nudged me, snapping me out of my thoughts. “Kiara, what are you thinking?”
I forced a smile. “Nothing.”
But deep down, I knew the truth.
There was no escaping Aryan Singh Rathore.
---
Aryan’s bullying wasn’t random—it was a result of Natasha’s manipulation and his own twisted sense of power. Now that Kiara is in his sights, will she find a way to fight back? Or will she break under his dominance?
